I am so happy I took the time to learn the lesser known history of black people in the Appalachia region.

If I made a sci fi fantasy movie about Black Americans, Appalachian black folks would definitely be the elves (the human kind)🧝🏾‍♀️. There is something ethereal and ancestral about their self expression that makes them so unique. They are the living examples of “why try to fit in when you are born to stand out”.
